A Few of Our Favorite Things | A gift giving guide for everyone

It’s the week of Thanksgiving and you know what that means - major shopping is fast approaching. Whether you are the Black Friday enthusiast, Shop Small supporter, or still figuring out the perfect gift by Christmas Eve, you’ll find something for everyone here. May I present my annual gift giving guide! A list curated of some of my favorite things my family and I have come across, loved, and love to give as gifts. Check it out!

Promptly Journals are some of our favorite journals. I especially love that they have something for every occasion and stage of life. The Love Story Journal pictured above is a marriage journal that brings you from your very first moments as a couple all the way to your 70th wedding anniversary and your lasts together. This one is my favorite gift to give newlyweds, but it’s never too late if they’re a veteran couple. Whether you’ve been together for one month or a decade - the prompts are so simple and easy to fill out and it becomes a beautiful heirloom for you and the generations to come in your family. You can reminisce about your marriage and look at photographs from beginning to end. Not only does Promptly Journals have something for couples, but they also have childhood, adoption, travel, and they even provide free downloadable miscarriage and infertility journals.

Morning Fog Studios

These tumblers are so fun and convenient! These are my new go-to “wine glasses”. They’re shatterproof, insulated, and keep your drink cold for up to 24 hours. In the summertime they are perfect for chilled wine or my personal favorite - spicy margaritas. I also love to tote these around with me all day and sip Topo Chico lime. These make a great gift for moms who need a break (or just a fun stainless steel tumbler to drink out of). You can check out these tumblers on Amazon or Etsy (click the button).

Harper + Finn

This handmade play mat from Harper + Finn has been all the rage in our house since opening the package. Maeve (who is now just over a year) LOVES pointing at every planet. It’s such a perfect play mat that a child can grow with. First to be used for tummy time or a soft place to put baby then to eventually grow with, play on, and learn from! I’ve already started teaching Maeve about planets, space, colors, and even emotions as all the planets have a happy or sad face. Use it around the house or take it to the park for a picnic. It’s super easy to fold up and take on the go. For a 20% off discount use code HOLIDAY20 at checkout.

Blossom + Pear

These baby books are precious. They are so beautiful cover to cover and everything in between is so fun to fill out. This journal covers everything from a few questions about pregnancy, the birth story, all the special firsts, and pages up to the child turning 5 years old. I love how this baby journal was created in such a unique way with beautiful quotes, things I’ve never seen before like a teething chart, and tons of extra space. Fill it with stories, memories, photos, footprints, keepsakes, and details you don’t want to forget. This is the sweetest gift for new mamas because it’s easy (and fun) to fill out and so special to look back on over the years.

Formulary 55

Is it just me or are candles the best gift? They smell amazing, they provide the coziest atmosphere in your home, and they’re such a simple gift. I found the best one stop shop for all things yummy botanicals. I got the black tea and tobacco and bourbon and vanilla candles. They smell AMAZING. These vegan, hand poured candles are perfect for anyone concerned with their health and the environment. They are made of all vegetable wax (no beeswax) blended with premium essential oils and phthalate free perfumes. Formulary 55 is full of incredible modern botanicals for the body and home. Everything from candles, soaps, face masks (HELLO FAVORITE STOCKING STUFFER), beard oil (hey something for that sweet man in your life, too), soaps, and SO much more. This is your go to spot for all the jackpot gifts.

Adie + Madie Sew Shop

More handmade goodies and I’m very much in love! These bows are so sweet and cute and come in so many different colors and styles. You can choose the style - headband, clip, and even type of bow and size of bow. It’s so fun how you can customize each bow. I am a sucker for fall colors but I am seriously adoring her new velvet winter styles. Go check them out!

White Loft

No need to mark up walls only to leave them behind if you were to ever move. We love these growth charts from White Loft. We have the canvas growth chart in classic font and love that it’s so easy to hang and use. You can mark each height with ink on the canvas growth chart or if you don’t want to make any marks you can hang tags. For a 15% off discount use code CHRISTINE at checkout. Valid 11/18-11/30.

Little Lief Creative

Little Lief Creative has prints ranging from nursery to modern home decor. The little lion cub was hung on our daughters wall because she is the cutest little Leo (and the lion noise was the first animal noise she learned). We also had a custom night sky print made for our wedding night. It’s a map of the stars from the date and coordinates that we got married. This print is so special to us and such a special reminder of that incredible day after 5 years of marriage. This is a truly unique gift that would be perfect for any couple no matter how long they’ve been together. You can also map the coordinates the night a child was born, the night you met your significant other, and so much more.

So there you have it, a gift giving guide full of meaningful gifts. Hopefully, something on this list was a helpful gift idea for you. If you’re out buying gifts this holiday season, I encourage you to shop small businesses. Have the most wonderful Thanksgiving and the best holidays.
