The day started slow and mellow with low-sitting clouds hovering over Santa Barbara.
The hotel was quietly humming with guests checking in. When I got to the room where Tami and the girls were getting ready, make up was well underway and hairspray lingered in the air. Tami had just started getting ready, but she already had a stunning bride glow about her. The day progressed so easily and before we knew it Tami was getting into her gown and heading to see John for the first look.
The first look was magical (I mean, just see it for yourself). John's reaction was so priceless. What was even sweeter was the ceremony. You could see with each exchanged glance and laugh between Tami and John how they just loved each others presence. Nothing could make them happier.
I constantly found them laughing with each other throughout the entire day. Tami was an absolute vision of beauty and the big, happy smiles could not be wiped from her face if you tried, but when I looked back through the photos I noticed all the smiles coming from John too. Isn't it the best when you see the groom get so emotional and just be so happy to be with his bride? I love that about John. He always just seems so at home whenever he's with Tami. Tami is the kind of person that makes everyone feel at home when they are around her.
The whole day was so beautiful and intimate. The sun broke through just before the first look and accompanied us for the rest of the day. The spot where they got married on the jetty was so gorgeous and picturesque. The ceremony was full of laughs and tears from their closest friends and family who traveled across the country and the world to be there. The reception at the Maritime Museum was full of thoughtful details of Tami and John and their love of traveling the world. The toasts and well-wishes from family and friends were not in short supply. It was the sweetest day celebrating these two.
Tami and John, you are just so sweet together. What a joy it is to watch you be so incredibly in love and witness your marriage. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be a part of that journey with you. Marriage will be the greatest adventure yet! I wish you the very best and many, many years of exploring the world together.

What an incredible afternoon having this opportunity to get to know these two better before the big day, take in these views, and get a crash course in nutrition and exercise. Also, isn't Sarah such a STUNNER? The whole session I kept trying to figure out who her famous celebrity doppelgänger is. I think I may have an idea on who it is - any guesses!?Read More
Yeah, new places and cities and countries are cool, but my heart soars when I get quality time with my favorite people. I would rather take 1,000 trips to the same city with my dearest friends than visit countless different cities alone.Read More

You know when you meet someone whether in person, email, social media, phone call, and you can tell pretty quickly if you will get a long with them well? Tami was like that for me. Maybe she's like that for a lot of people, I can definitely see that because she's so stinking sweet and likable. How can you not just want to pursue a conversation with her?Read More
When I talked to Brittany about what she was thinking for the engagement session she explained that they were the kind of couple who likes to have fun and do things. They love doing brunch, riding bikes, going places, exploring their neighborhood...and that's pretty much what we did.Read More
Two pilots. one destination. They have been dating for years and met up for a little weekend getaway in San Diego. Little did Michaela know that Michael was hard at work planning out this sweet Sunset Cliffs proposal. This sounds like the plot of a movie I would definitely opt for on a Friday night in.Read More
If you’re anything like me, you had all the best intentions of Christmas shopping early, like in the summertime early, but alas here we are the week of Thanksgiving with an underwhelming amount of gifts crossed off the list.
In hopes to make it easier on you to find the perfect gift for a sweet new baby, new parents, or to stock up on black Friday for baby-on-the-way, I threw together a simple list of our favorite things.Read More
The birds were making their presence known and it was the perfect temperature. The girls were poppin' champagne and the guys were getting settled into their cabin with food and bevs. Honestly, I think the best way to describe this day is that it was bursting at the seams with love. Beautiful, genuine, emotional love.Read More
Did I just witness a fairytale wedding?
Let me paint you this picture...It’s a warm, sunny Friday afternoon. I arrive at my destination, Quail Haven Farm. As I drive up this long windy driveway, I notice trees and flowers and turn to corner to see this wonderful barn with the friendliest horses popping their heads out to greet...
Ever been to a wedding where the whole essence of the day truly fit the personality of the bride and groom? Nick and Andrea hit this one out of the park.
Down to the very last detail this day was perfection
Our little lady is here! My first born has nestled her way out of her bed-womb and into our bedroom. If I can be totally candid, before she was born I got ALL the advice. "Get your sleep now." "Don't buy too many things because baby doesn't need it." The advice went on and on. Meanwhile, I had this perfect little idea that if I just gave my daughter a quick pep talk about sleep, she would sleep just fine in her bassinet and all would be well. Ha! Everyone say it with me - HA!Read More
