Rising Tide Society Mexican-Bohemian Styled Shoot at Coronado Beach

July 05, 2016 by Christine Tustin

Something magical happens when a city full of wonderfully talented creatives come together. They become a tribe - a community. That's exactly what happened here at this Coronado Beach shoot in San Diego, California.

You see, there's this wonderful community for creative entrepreneurs called The Rising Tide Society. It's a community that is based on the act of lifting up someone in your like profession that inspires you encouraging community over competition.

A rising tide
lifts all boats

I've come to know this great city in the short (almost) 3 years that I've lived here, and the one thing I have noticed is how incredible the people are. I am blessed to be surrounded by so many incredibly talented photographers, videographers, writers, designers, event coordinators, lifestyle bloggers, florists, make-up artists...you name it. The only thing greater than being surrounded by such brilliant artists and entrepreneurs is working with them side-by-side and encouraging one another.

Recently, a small but mighty group of us San Diego Tiders came together for a collaborative styled shoot. After just a few short months of everything coming together we all met up at Coronado Beach for a Mexican-Bohemian Styled Shoot. I remember distinctly being in awe of everyone involved. Everything was incredible from the decor and design of Not My Dish to the intricate details of Brittani Rose Paper Art and watching all the #bossladies around me do their thing! I heard laughter, conversation, encouragement, and everyone offering to help each other out. As a creative entrepreneur, I've learned that loneliness is real. The biggest creativity killer is comparison and when we stop comparing or creating a competition barrier - we are actually all much better off together. I am so grateful to be a part of this wonderful community that cheers me on to do what I love.

Here's to you creative entrepreneurs out there. You hustlers, dreamers, do-ers, achievers. There's a tribe waiting to support you and we'll be right here when you're ready.
